About the Project

A Responsive Website, Blog, and Social Media Campaign for a Top B.C. Broker

A helpful homepage for helping homeowners.

Michele Ellis had successfully been running her company, The Mortgage Studio, for many years when she approached Awoven Media. She had seen our work for other Canadian brokers, and wanted to improve her own online presence from the basic template she'd been using to a full, custom website that better reflected the style and professionalism of her company. As an experienced, high-end mortgage broker in Squamish, she thought she could be doing more to attract online consumers in her area.

We recommended that in addition to a beautiful new website, The Mortgage Studio could increase its rank in search results by publishing a regular, topical mortgage blog and keeping up a basic social media presence on Facebook and Twitter. We began work on all fronts of this strategy simultaneously, creating a Mortgage Studio Twitter account and a WordPress blog that we later integrated directly into the new website. While we were working hard on this last front, we began writing and publishing bi-weekly blog posts based on independent, original research into the Canadian mortgage market — so all Michele had to do was approve.

After several rounds of discussion and iteration, the website we launched for The Mortgage Studio ended up with a classic white, gold, and blue design that tapped into the business' premium branding. We added high-quality images of Michele and her offices, a sparkling gold background to make certain features pop, and custom marketing copy to tie the whole project together.
